This book brings together selections from Mani Rao’s poetry from over the last three decades of her writing and publishing poetry internationally. Poems here are from previous books published out of Hong Kong including from Ghostmasters and echolocation, and include new, long poems recently published in journals in the USA; New & Selected Poems makes Rao’s extensive poetic works available to Indian readers for the first time since 1992.

Mani Rao is the author of eight poetry books, and two books in translation — The Bhagavad Gita, and Kalidasa for the 21st Century Reader. Her poems and essays are published in journals including Tinfish, Wasafiri, Meanjin, Washington Square, Fulcrum, West Coast Line, and Interim, and in various anthologies.
